Tonight you will find a yellow HOMEWORK FOLDER inside your child's backpack. Every night this folder will come home and be returned to school along with their red EVERYDAY MATH FOLDER and dolphin TAKE HOME FOLDER. Inside is your child's first Weekly Homework Sheet. Remember it is modeled after the third grade assignment notebook and helps our kids to become responsible for their daily homework assignments. You will see today's homework includes:
Reading: Read for 20 minutes (record on reading log on back side)
Spelling: Review Take Home Word Wall
Math: Otter Creek: Practice appropriate Otter Creek addition facts that your child recorded
Homelink: no assignment today
I'd like to remind you to monitor, guide, check and praise your children tonight as homework assignments are completed and initial the Weekly Homework Sheet when work is completed. The Weekly Homework Sheet needs to be returned to school inside your child's yellow HOMEWORK FOLDER in the morning!
Students are also bringing home their first Take Home Word Wall. Please post this in their homework spot, on the refridgerator, or pantry door for the week for continued practice.
